D & R Properties Future Flyers
With a lot on the line,in a stacked field of young talent, the winners medal was not all that was up for grabs. Two ice cream cones from Paw Paw’s Hand Dipped Ice Cream was in the prize pack. One for the winner, the other for their dad.Coleman Purnell navigated the mad dash to win the D & R Properties Future Flyers race and present his dad with a scoop of ice cream.
Vintage Sportsman
Chris Mincey, back in the seat of his #11 car, put it on the pole for the Vintage Sportsman race. He led every lap and parked it in Sunrise Contracting Services Victory Lane. Cory Purnell brought it home second with Gary Lloyd following in third.
Super Cup Stock Car Series First Twin 50
The Super Cup Stock Car Series took the green flag for the first time with Showtime Mike on the pole. By the time they returned to the line, Chrissy Wallace held the point. She remained there to take the first of their twin 50's with Mike second and Daminion Payton in third.
Choice Automotive Chargers
Tripp Evans put his #8 on the pole and never looked back. With two cautions on lap 21 and 26, Tripp maintained the advantage over a strong challenge from Bradley Wolford until the checkered flag. Wolford finished second with Caden Everhart crossing the line in third.
Scott Phillips Pure Stock
Jay Hemenway brought the field to the line and lead the first 18 laps before BJ Reaves overtook him for the lead. Reaves held on through lap traffic to grab the win. Jordan Pickrel finished second with Hemenway coming in third.
Huff’s Insurance & Realty Late Models
This was debatably the best race of the night. Four cars were more than capable of winning. John Goin lead the pack to the green and held it for the first 49 laps. Lane Woods made the move on Goin on lap 50 and held on with a hard charging Bradly McCaskill in persuit. Chase
Ellis finished off the podium with a third place.
Poolside of the Carolinas Mod 4's
Cory Purnell won the pole but elected to start at the rear to collect the hard charger bonus. This moved Brandon Watson to the point.Thomas Penny gained the lead on lap 1 and held it till a lap 4 caution. Harold Summey Jr. lead lap 5. After a quick caution Purnell moved to the front and lead the rest of the way except for lap 10 when Penny took the lead after a caution. Penny came in second with Summey Jr. in third.
Super Cup Stock Car Series Second Twin 50
For the final race of the night, Chrissy Wallace lead the first 9 laps until a caution for debris bunched them back up. Showtime Mike got the lead on lap 10 restart, but lost it the very next lap. Wallace lead the rest of the way to make it a sweep for the night. Showtime Mike finished second and despite of a spin on lap 38, Damion Payton finished third.
