Rob's Race Recap - 4/11/2026 - The Kickoff Classic

D & R Properties Future Flyers

Preston Moore started on the pole and took advantage of the clean air. With the field jockeying for position behind him, Preston was able to pull away and cruise to Sunrise Victory Lane. Robert Moore from D & R Properties was the honorary flagman.


1st Fab Color Creations Twin 35 in Choice Automotive Chargers

Tripp Evans took advantage of starting on the pole to lead all 35 laps with one caution on lap 18.

Todd Garren, Bradley Wolford, Caden Everhart and Brandon Warren made up the top 5.


Whistle Express Car Wash Vintage Sportsman

Gary Lloyd made his return in dominating fashion, leading all 15 laps. Will Riley brought it home

in second, followed by Kenneth Smith.


Scott Phillips’ Pure Stocks

With Scott’s car leading the pace lap, Andrew Turner brought the field to the green. BJ Reaves took the lead before making it back. BJ didn’t get to enjoy the lead long before Jay Hemenway took over and lead to finish with BJ giving it his all. Rounding out the top five was Andrew Turner, Brent Ferrell, and Cory Durham. Scott’s wife, son, daughter and 2 grandchildren presented the trophy to Jay.


Allison Legacy Series

Subbing for Ethan Elder, Justin Taylor put it on the pole and lead laps 1-11. Bobby Mares took the point briefly for 2 laps before Justin regained the lead and took it to the Sunrise Contracting Services Victory Lane.


Huff’s Insurance & Realty Late Models

Bradley McCaskill lead the field to the green flag and kept it out front for the 75 laps.May sound

dominating, but it wasn’t. He faced strong pressure from John Goin in the first half, then Chase Ellis joined the battle. Bradley maintained the lead and brought it home followed by Chase Ellis, John Goin, Mitch Gibson, and Mike Chambers.


Poolside of the Carolinas Mod 4's

Cory Purnell was the pole winner, but had mechanical issues after leading the first lap. Brandon Watson took the point and lead the rest of the way. Thomas Penny and Cliff Cox finished 2nd and 3rd.


2nd Fab Color Creations Twin 35 in Choice Automotive Chargers

After a top 5 invert, Brandon Warren lead the field to the green. After leading 2 laps, he was passed by Caden Everhart who lead the next 31 laps and was on his way until a late caution. Todd Garren took the outside at the restart and took the lead. Tripp Evans decided he wasn’t done yet and challenged Todd out of 4 for a photo finish with Todd gaining his first victory

by 0.023 seconds.
