CHARGER WEIGHT RULES

Orange County Speedway's Choice Automotive Charger division is designed to be a fun and affordable option for racers to compete using older style LMSC chassis without the need for expensive shock packages, lightweight parts, etc.

To that end, in an effort to ensure fair competition while still allowing for the most variety of cars to participate, the following weight penalties will be enforced as outlined in the 2024 Charger division rulebook:

  • 50 lbs. must be added to the total weight (with at least 25 lbs. on the right side) when gas pressurized shocks are used

  • 25 lbs. must be added to the right side when 5 ½” racing clutch is used

  • 25 lbs. must be added to the right side when LMSC style angle plug head engine is used
